It's complete!!! 2025 Week In The Life Day Seven pages are complete and this album is DONE! I am so excited to share Day 7 pages with you. Not only that, but I did something REALLY COOL with the completed pages that I think you will like. We'll get to that in a minute.
So to quickly recap the way I put my album together, I followed the "formula" that Ali put her physical pages together. She posted a video on her blog of what her "foundation pages" looked like and I just copied what she did in a digital format. I know as of this blog post she hasn't completed her album yet, so I'm sure there will be changes she makes to her formula, but I loved having my pages set up in Affinity Publisher for iPad. It helped make this project doable!
Products and software used:
2025 Week In The Life Color Blocked Notebook (I used this to write all my thoughts throughout the week and then referenced back to it when it came time to put the album together. This was SO HELPFUL!)
I also used several of Ali's digital products from past kits. I have them organized in my Files App on iCloud Drive. I have a video I recorded a few years back on how I organize her digitals on my iPad. You can watch that here.

If you look back at the Day Six Blog Post you will see the image of what this looks like it its double-page spread
Spread One

That pic of my husband and Rip, our grand-puppy, is the best!
Spread Two

The "Dogs Forever" sticker came from Ali's Story Play Dogs + Cats Digital Mini Kit. I changed the sticker from black to navy in Publisher.
Spread Three

The "Celebrate all this stuff" word art came from an older 4x6 filler card of Ali's. The words were originally on a red background, but I removed it just used the word art.
Spread Four

The blue square with all of days of the week is a piece of digital paper from the WITL 2025 Digital Journal Card + Paper Variety Pack kit.
Spread Five

The "family" and "love this" words are digtial stamps from past kits.
Spread Six

As I mentioned in the Day One blog post, I was able to open the PDF of the 2025 Digital Stitched Notebook and save the pages out as individual JPGs. This allowed me to drop in the pages that I wanted to add to my album like you see above and then also in Spread 4!
This is what all the pages look like laid out in Affinity Publisher for iPad (video has no sound)
At the end of this week-long project, Ali offered a download of "WITL Reflection Questions" through her IG account. I downloaded it and thought I would share answers to the prompt from the sheet.
About The Experience:
One of the prompts in this sections was "What surprised your during this week?" For me it was how much I enjoyed keeping track + writing down my feelings throughout each day. I mentioned that I purchased a physical copy of the Stitched Notebook. I had no intention of using it for the actual book. Honestly, I didn't know why I bought it. But man that notebook was with me throughout the week. I found myself writing in it all the time. And I loved it.
Another question in this section was "What was easy? What was hard?" The easy part for me was actually putting the album together at the end. I set up the pages in Affinity Publisher for iPad before the week even began. So it was easy to drop in the photos and take the words I wrote in the notebook all week long and just type them into the pages. I knew the hard part was going to be talking about losing our yorkie, Zoe. We lost her the day before we left on our 16-day RV trip and we returned June 1, the day before this Week In The Life project began. So it was our first week in the house without her. I knew it was going to be hard. But reflecting and journaling how I felt at times about not having here with us anymore was very therapeutic for me.
About The Stories Captured:
"What kinds of stories showed up the most?" Obviously, Zoe. And then there was losing all of my veggie plants. So it seemed like "loss" was kind of a theme this week. And then there was food. I love cooking for family and friends.
"Which Photo feels the most true to your current season?" It's not the prettiest photo at all, but the photo of me digging out the dead plants from my elevated garden bed, expresses my current season. I want to nurture (my one little word for the year), I want to take care of things. I feel a little lost without having my fur baby to take care of. So for now, taking care of plants will have to do.

About Yourself:
"What did you learn about yourself this week?" I really found myself in that season of "nurture." Taking care of myself by going to the gym, eating healthy, making meals for family + friends, playing in the dirt. My OLW for this year really showed up this week!
Looking ahead:
"What parts of life do you want to document more often?" I think more raw feelings. And I don't think it is something I would share in album pages here on the blog or social media. I don't know, maybe I would. But the process of journaling each day, throughout the day, was awesome. I really enjoyed it. I just need to get into a rhythm (and find a cute notebook to write it).
I know this has been a long post, but I have one other super cool, techie thing about this album to share with you! I've been bouncing off the walls with excitement about this (driving the hubs a little crazy in the process).
MY VERSION OF A DIGITAL FLIP BOOK!!!!
I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED ABOUT THIS!!!
There were a few students in Scrapbooking With Affinity Photo for iPad Masterclass who were curious about making "flipbooks" out of their digital pages so they can share the digital books with family and friends. There are many online services out there that can do this, but they are sooooo expensive! A long time ago I had a free account with Issuu. I looked at it today and man, have they changed. Their free account isn't even worth it. They only allow 3 books with 10 pages max. I know when I had a free account with them a few years back, I was uploading entire family yearbooks to the site. So I kind of came up with my own solution.
This "flip book" is of my 2025 Week In The Life Album (there is no sound). It was created by adding the exported JPG spreads from Affinity Publisher for iPad and placing them in a Keynote presentation. Each slide of the Keynote Presentation used the "flop" animated transition-at 2 seconds for the title page slide, and 3 seconds for the remaining pages/slides. The transitions were set to automatic. The presentation was then exported from Keynote as a Movie–.MOV file (QuickTime). I googled whether or not .mov files could be uploaded to Facebook. I found they are able to, but sometimes .mov files can be a little stubborn. So I decided to place the .MOV into Screenflow, which is the software I use for video editing and exported it out as a .MP4. But the .MOV files should be easy for your family view on their computers. You can just pause when you want to read the book hit play again to go to the next page. HOW COOL IS THAT???
Thank you so much for reading! If you have any questions/comments, leave them below! I will be back tomorrow with...CHRISTMAS IN JULY! My 2024 December Daily album is done and I will be sharing pages each day beginning tomorrow through July 25! Get ready for some DD inspiration!
